Can anyone else see absolute charm?

I found this little gal on Craigslist and although the man isn't quite convinced (yet) I am absolutly in love with this!

Paper-Source Love

I received my Paper-Source {www.paper-source.com} Holiday 2008 Catalog yesterday, and can I say L-O-V-E? So many fabulous ideas for the holidays & for entertaining. Here are just a few of my favorites:

I'm really into these "I am thankful for" cards. Perfect for sitting around the Thanksgiving table.

These are just a few of the really fun Christmas cards. These are some of the personalized letterpress cards, but they also have boxed sets.
I love these address labels! What a fun way to spruce up (already adorable) Christmas cards!

I love this gift! A wine tasting party kit - how fun!

And of course what holidays would be complete without penguins, clockwise from top left, penguin tree topper, penguin envelope seals, penguin gift book, and lastly penguin wrapping paper (these are for you babe!):

Fall Party Inspirations

I came across this picture via The Knot (and thousands of other blogs, oh well) that made me wish I was able to put a barn like this is my KCMO backyard. I doubt it will happen, but I can still dream.

I'm thinking of this barn as inspiration for a warm, inviting, fall party. If I were throwing a party in this barn I'd:

use lots of glassware and stemware. Glass makes everything look more sculptural, so I'd put out tons of wine glasses and lots of wine! (Photo via Timmy Gunz/Flickr)

I'd have a long banquet table set with a floor length cream tablecloth with brown runner. The placesettings would have shimmering gold chargers...

...topped with these beautifully fall plates from Table Art {www.tableartonline.com}.
Of course there will be flowers. Perhaps some low pieces like these from Fleurs NYC{www.fleursnyc.com)... ...and some tall arrangements like these photographed by Geoff White {www.blog.geoffwhite.com} And of course TONS of candlelight! I LOVE these recycled aluminum bark candlesticks from VivaTerra {www.vivaterra.com}.
And while fantisizing about this party, I came across these other fabulous fall inspirations that would be perfect for a barn shindig:

Who wouldn't love to have barrels of wine, right? I don't like tea very much, but my man does, and how perfect is this for a fall affair?

Not sure of this source, but how adorable are those lanterns?!?!

Happy fall event planning!

Just a quick pic....

I was browsing around online and came across this bit of country love via Country Living {www.countryliving.com}. It is so simple and feels so homey! (Okay, so I'm from the country too!)

Etsy Unveil!

It's happened - I've opened a shop on Etsy! Make sure to go and check it out {www.gingerkay.etsy.com}. Right now I've only got 2 items up, but more are sure to come. The shop will have entertaining kits and accessories, especially vintage & estate linen finds.

With help from my good friend Sarah we spent Saturday setting up and shooting photos of the 2 entertaining kits posted. For a sneak peek, here's what's currently being featured:

Election Gear

No one is more excited that this election is going to be over by the end of the day more than I am, but in the truest spirit of democracy and capitalism here are some just plain, too cute, election finds from our friends over at Etsy {www.etsy.com}. In the spirit of bi-partisanship (which I am not really), I'm going to be showcasing both parties.

Of course I love a white kitchen!

But Black is fabulous too...And green is charming...Especially decorated for Christmas!I don't know if this is a boy or a girls room, but I love the tree painting. There is TOO much for me to comment on here! The floors, the walls, the lighting, the furniture....
